There are all kinds of number one

Have you heard the news that CNBLUE has become the first overseas band to top the Oricon singles weekly chart in 41 years and 1 months? Translated news here.

Actually they could have made history 3 and a half months ago with IMH (sales in first week 70,000 compared to 60,000 for WYA). But you know chart positions have lots to do with who the competitors are. And they aren’t the first male Korean artists to top the chart either. But you need to know it’s the Japanese media making the fuss. I’ve watch 3 news videos shared by @ughlc (Please stalk the fan’s tweets for the videos. I don’t know if it’s alright if I post them, as the youtube vids are unlisted). In the news, the focus is that they’re a rock band. That’s what I’m happy about. That’s the kind of number one that we fans can be proud of.
